What are your top five favorite Broadway shows?
2. Hedwig and the Angry Inch
3. West Side Story
5. Fiddler on the Roof
What was the first Broadway show you saw?
The Phantom of the Opera, which completely enthralled me with its 80s decadence and over-the-top drama. I was so taken with the show that I listened to the original Broadway cast album over and over and learned all the songs on piano.
Which character in a musical or play do you most identify with?
Joanne from Rent, because she pursues love and success on her own terms.
Have you ever performed on stage?
I grew up singing and dancing in school productions. But my favorite Broadway memory is from my wedding in 2014. My Dad surprised me by singing live during the father-daughter dance to “Sunrise, Sunset” from Fiddler on the Roof.
What does Broadway mean to you?
Broadway makes me think of my parents and singing together at family gatherings. You will find no bigger fans of American musical theater than these two creative, karaoke-loving immigrants.
What is one thing that someone would be surprised to know about you?
I broke my arm playing roller derby.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can remodel a house.
