What are your top five favorite Broadway shows?
#3. Into the Woods
#4. Les Misérables
#5. Kinky Boots
What was the first Broadway show you saw? Do you remember any details about your experience?
Les Misérables was the first show that I saw live. I was eight and my mom surprised me with 4th-row center stage seats the day of the show.
Which character in a musical or play do you most identify with and why?
The Baker’s Wife from Into the Woods—she is so relatable. She has a goal and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it, then when she finally has what she always wanted, she still wants more. Plus, who wouldn’t want their own moment in the woods with a prince?
Have you ever performed on stage?
I started doing musical theater locally at the age of 5 and performed in them thru High School. My first show I was a munchkin and funky monkey in The Wiz. My favorite role was Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof.
What does theater and/or Broadway mean to you?
The theater is where I go when I want to be transported—there is nothing as magical as theater. It is such a unique medium where the performers and the audience are really creating an amazing and unique experience.
What is one thing that someone would be surprised to know about you?
Despite being fairly clumsy, I’ve never broken a bone.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I love decorating cakes. I’ve even done a few wedding cakes for family and friends.
What accomplishment are you most proud of (personally or professionally)?
Singing at Carnegie Hall with my chorus, Sacramento Valley Chorus.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Is there anything else that we (and other Broadway fans) should know about you?
I love being a member of SHN, it is SO worth the drive from Sacramento!
