What are your top five favorite Broadway shows?
#3. She Loves Me
#4. Les Misérables
#5. The Last Five Years
What was the first Broadway show you saw? Do you remember any details about your experience?
The first Broadway show I saw was The Phantom of the Opera. I loved seeing down in the orchestra pit. We sat in the mezzanine and it was just an incredible experience seeing all the set pieces and seeing the chandelier. I specifically remember being scared of the iconic Overture!
Have you ever performed on stage?
I have performed onstage during my high school years and into my college career. I minored in musical theatre. I loved every experience. Theatre helped me grow as a person. It really got me out of my shell. It takes a while for me to warm up to new people, but people involved in the theatre are always welcoming and kind.
What is one thing that someone would be surprised to know about you?
I’m really good at memorizing songs and remember them for years and years!
If you could have dinner with one person (living or dead), who would it be and why?
Pretty cliche, but Lin-Manuel Miranda! I would love to tell him how thankful I am for In the Heights and HAMILTON!
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an actress. I feel like I am an actress because I’m a teacher. Teaching feels a lot like improv!
Is there anything else that we (and other Broadway fans) should know about you?
When people ask me what kind of music I listen to, my answer is not Rock, Rap, R&B etc. It is and forever will be Musical Theatre!
