What are your top five favorite Broadway shows?
#3. Les Misérables
Which character in a musical or play do you most identify with and why?
Maybe Elle Woods, who was told she’d never get into Law School, and then went on to be a kick-ass lawyer. I was interested in math and science at a time when it was not “cool” for girls. I was told “girls don’t take calculus and physics” and then went on to get a BSEE and MSCS (as the only woman in my classes).
What does theater and/or Broadway mean to you?
Theatre is definitely my escapist guilty pleasure.
What is one thing that someone would be surprised to know about you?
People who only meet me online or at an exercise class (or anywhere, really) are surprised to find out I’m a tech geek.
If you could have dinner with one person (living or dead), who would it be and why?
Lin-Manuel Miranda, just such a genius! I want to know what makes his mind tick, when it comes to what he creates. And then Hillary Clinton, who I idolize as a revolutionary woman in her own right.
Is there anything else that we (and other Broadway fans) should know about you?
I have over 120 soundtrack albums, and it’s All Broadway, All the Time in my office! I also share my SHN season tickets with my great friend and ever-faithful theatre-going companion of many years, Sue. Our email sign-off is always NSTATMT… No Such Thing As Too Much Theatre!!!!!
