What are your top five favorite Broadway shows?
#4. Disney’s Newsies
#5. Disney’s The Lion King
What was the first Broadway show you saw?
Les Mis in middle school.
Have you ever performed on stage? If so, please provide any details and memories of your experience.
The King and I and The Music Man in elementary school. Also, my wife’s family runs a children’s musical theater company, so she and all her siblings and my own kids have all been in lots of shows.
What does theater and/or Broadway mean to you
Entertainment! We prefer shows with a sense of humor and great singing and dancing. It’s a wonderful American tradition, it’s an escape from the mundane, it can be inspiring and thought provoking.
What accomplishment are you most proud of (personally or professionally)?
My family life. I love my wife and kids so much and they’re the source of almost all of my real happiness.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can identify almost any car on the road by its headlights. I have always been interested in all kinds of cars, ever since I was 2 or 3 years old. I like all kinds but mostly weird ones, (top of my list Citroen DS… check google, it will be mine one day….). Anyway, a life-long interest just means you notice and when you notice then they all become familiar.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
First a race care driver, then a writer for car magazines. I still love cars way too much.
What is one thing that someone would be surprised to know about you?
That I like Broadway shows.
