What are your top five favorite Broadway shows?
- The Phantom of the Opera
- Finding Neverland
What was the first Broadway show you saw?
Grease when I was 13 with my Aunt and sister at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre. I got to meet Davy Jones from The Monkees who played Vince Fontaine.
Which character in a musical or play do you most identify with and why?
I would say J.M. Barrie from Finding Neverland. I work with children for a living and his enthusiasm and belief in imagination resonate with me. He helped the widow’s children see the world in a magical way and he created a masterpiece to be cherished for generations to come.
Have you ever performed on stage?
I was in my high school musical, Oliver. I was only an extra but I got to play 5 different characters. We all had so much fun trying to quickly change in between scenes! Being super shy throughout my life made this experience stick with me.
What does theater and/or Broadway mean to you?
Theater is a great escape. Music brings joy to my heart and I’ve gotten to see so many awesome shows by being a member! I look forward to new soundtracks after seeing each show and I enjoy spending time with friends and family who share my love for theater and musicals!
What is one thing that someone would be surprised to know about you?
I’m a book of random facts. I know a little about a lot of things!
What accomplishment are you most proud of (personally or professionally)?
I’m proud of teaching three years olds every day! They make life fun and there’s never a dull moment. One student told me once that teachers don’t work! It’s too fun to be work!
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a children’s author and illustrator. It was a dream to write children’s books!
Is there anything else that we should know about you?
The arts and music are my happy place and I’m pretty sure my memberships will continue for years to come!
