Giving Back: Clothing Drive for Camp Fire Relief Efforts
SHN and A BRONX TALE kicked-off a month-long in-theatre clothing drive to meet the needs of the victims displaced by the recent Camp Fire in Butte County. Working in partnership with the Salvation Army Del Oro division of Butte County, ticket holders attending any of the 32 performances of A BRONX TALE can donate socks, jackets and warm winter clothing for men, women and children. All items must be new. The Salvation Army has communicated that they will not accept any items that are used and that their specific needs are for warm winter clothing.
Drop-off bins are located in the lobby of the SHN Golden Gate Theatre during the four- week engagement of A BRONX TALE, the award-winning musical playing through December 23rd. Drop-off will be available prior to and during each performance.
To launch the initiative, SHN donated a bin full of coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and other necessities that will help Butte County residents stay warm during the coming season. SHN also extended the effort through the holiday season in order to give A BRONX TALE audiences an opportunity to contribute during this season of giving.
The Salvation Army has also noted the need for other items, as well as monetary donations. More information can be found here.
