Join SHN in Helping Those Affected by the North Bay Fires
Many in our SHN family, including friends, patrons and colleagues have been affected by the North Bay Fires, and we’ve identified and made donations to each of these organizations to help support their relief efforts: The Redwood Empire Food Bank, The Napa Valley Community Foundation, The Sonoma Humane Society, the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts and The Community Foundation of Mendocino County. The Napa and Sonoma County Fire Relief GoFundMe — This crowd-funding disaster relief fund will spread out all monetary donations to a number of organizations, including fire and rescue departments and efforts in the Napa/Sonoma/Lake Counties.
California Fire Relief Fund on Fundly in Petaluma — Another crowd-funding campaign that will distribute the funds raised to local firefighters and nonprofits helping the Napa, Sonoma, and Northern California communities.
City of Santa Rosa on YouCaring – From the city of Santa Rosa, this crowd-funding campaign is raising funds that will assist the recovery efforts in their communities.
Sonoma County Animal Services – Accepting food and other supplies for animals, 24/7.
SUPPLIES/DONATIONS (Outside of the North Bay)
SF — Love on Haight has five trucks going up north to bring items to those in need and in evacuation sites. They will be accepting donations until next week. For a comprehensive list of donations needed, please click here.
SF — Idle Hand is being used as a donation drop-off site for supplies and will be making trips up north. For a list of necessities, click here.
Oakland — 1-2-3-4 Go! Records is collecting supplies that they will send up to Santa Rosa.
San Carlos — Tutto Capelli Salon is being used as a drop-off point for supplies to be brought to Napa, Santa Rosa, and Sonoma areas. For times open and for a list of items needed, click here.
American Red Cross — Sign up through a web portal with the American Red Cross to be a volunteer here. They are also accepting monetary donations by dialing 1-800 RED CROSS. (For a quick, one-time donation of $10, text REDCROSS to 90999. Please note: donations to the Red Cross are for “big and small” disasters, so they are not guaranteed to go to helping the North Bay Fires directly).
Redwood Empire Food Bank — Currently providing critical food to shelters to neighbors displaced by fires.

CVNL — The city of Napa has said they no longer need volunteers at the moment but have encouraged those who would still like to help to sign up at the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership, Marin & Napa.
Sonoma Fire Info has a list of shelters known to be open, which also includes live updates about their capacity as well as each shelter’s donation needs. Continue scrolling and you will also find a list of available animal shelters that are known to be open and accepting animals.
