Member Spotlight: James Bordoni
Forget about America’s favorite fighting Frenchman—(Lafayette!)—everybody give it up for family man, retired Los Altos resident, and 37-year-long SHN Member James Bordoni! Find out more about James—and check out these fun photos from a recent trip to Iceland he took with his wife—below.
What was the first Broadway show you saw? Do you remember any details about your experience?
Camelot. In Berkeley in the 60s. Still have the program. Got it signed afterwards at the stage door by Pernell Roberts (playing King Arthur) shortly after he left Bonanza.
What does theater and/or Broadway mean to you?
Get to witness part of the broad spectrum of talent that is out there.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Can recite the intro to the old Superman TV show.
What accomplishment are you most proud of (personally or professionally)?
Our three sons and their families.
If you could have dinner with one person (living or dead), who would it be and why?
My wife. Still my best friend.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Is there anything else that we (and other Broadway fans) should know about you?
No. I’m mostly boring. (Editor’s note: We don’t think you’re boring, James!)
